Jess Richards is a Welsh author born in 1972. She has a BA in Creative Writing and an MA in Creative and Life Writing, both from Goldsmiths, University of London. She is best known for her debut novel, "Snake Ropes," which was shortlisted for the 2012 Costa First Novel Award and the Scottish Book of the Year Award. Her other novels include "Cooking with Bones," "City of Circles," and "Dog Days," which was published in 2020. Richards is known for her poetic and lyrical prose, and her novels often deal with themes such as love, loss, and the magic of storytelling.
